Former Hill rivals spread anti-poverty message

Two former Senate majority leaders -- Democrat Tom Daschle and Republican Bill Frist -- are hitting the road this month to promote a $30 million anti-poverty effort in four key presidential battleground states.
On Monday, the two leaders were back on Capitol Hill to launch the ONE Vote '08 tour, which will take them to the early primary and caucus states, including Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. In each state, they'll meet with voters and presidential candidates to make global AIDS and extreme poverty key foreign policy issues in the 2008 race.(“…”)
