Kucinich's Plan

On reversing the spread of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis:

As President, I will provide a minimum of $30 billion over four years to fight global HIV/AIDS, ensuring universal access to preventive and treatment drugs for this disease, while maintaining our proportionate share to the Global Fund. I will budget increased funding to fight tuberculosis, the leading cause of death among HIV positive people.

ONE's Plan

On eradicating malaria:

I will increase funding for proven programs such as the President's Malaria Initiative and increase multilateral funding for the Global Fund with the goal of eradicating malaria and saving millions of lives each year.

ONE's Plan

On improving child and maternal health:

As President I will implement a Universal health care system for US citizens, and offer aid abroad. We will no longer be trailing behind other industrialized nations in our aid to impoverished countries, and provide vaccinations and care for the world's most vulnerable people.

ONE's Plan

On achieving universal primary education:

As president, I will increase our funding for global primary education to at least $3.3 billion annually, a leader's share of the estimated global need to give all children access to primary education.

ONE's Plan

On cutting in half the number of people without clean water or enough food:

As president, I will dramatically increase our country's spending on water, sanitation and hunger alleviation programs in developing countries. America needs to help in the fight against hunger and disease.

ONE's Plan

On additional commitments to the world's poor:

NAFTA and the WTO which have been detrimental to the poor need to be eliminated. We need to push for the immediate cancellation of all bilateral debts of poor countries as well as cancellation of debts to the IMF and World Bank.

As President, America will do it's fair share of aid to impoverished nations of the world, clean up the air we breath and the water we drink, and strive for a sustainable peace. We are all connected, and need to live by the principal that 'We are our brother's keepers.'
