It comes as no surprise to me that Mayor Giuliani has so little if anything at all to say about any of these issues, especially HIV/AIDS, primary education, health care and basic neccessities such as clean water and sanitation. He has done NOTHING for the children of Mott Haven, except maybe make things worse for them and their lives even more unbairable by denying them so many basic benefits. Children there are starving, living in total filth and polution and dying in housing that is hardly sustainable. Some children even go to classrooms in bathrooms because they don’t have room in the schools. Patients are treated with little to no respect at the disgrace of hospitals that do exist there. Mayor Giuliani should not even be mayor in my opinion let alone consider ever running for president! If you want to know where I received my information from, read “Amazing Grace.” After you do, Giuliani will no longer be able to portray himself the hero of 9/11. He is a fraud and every American deserves to know it.
He is a good candidate. Will he be a good president, That we love of him? That fights for the world peace and is the missionary of our glorious country in the eradication of the world poverty and it he attacks the different diseases that overwhelm the humanity
The NY Times had a really disturbing piece yesterday about Giuliani’s impact on local AIDS organizations… Would he bring that kind of vindictiveness into the White House? If groups disagreed with his policies would he try to cut off their funding?
I do not ever hear Guilliani talk about this….,I will not vote for him until I hear him address this message. I know he will be strong on Terrorism however we cvan not stop this evil force in the world until we all help oneanother put an end to the extreme poverty in the world our generation has proven over and over again we CARE
does he CARE? Let’s continue to do what Pres. Bush started to become aware of through the ONE Campaign and BONO and as a leader for our country we must set examples to o
ther as we are the greatest ,blessed country in the world lets use our muscle to help stop HIV/AIDS, Malaria or don’t forget WHAT GOES AROUND COMES !AROUND!
What a shame!!!!
I concur, with the e-mail below mine.
I called his official campaign headquarters in NYC several times. On his site at the time there he was sitting in front of a Christmas tree before Christmas.
Today I checked it and it’s a tough stance look (no smile) with his “12 commitments” listed. Big surprise nothing on poverty. Getting past all “image stuff” when I went to the contact site and called no one even answered the phone.
Mistake #1 in P. R.: no live voice. It’s just an endless voicemail system, like being sucked into a black hole, not knowing where you were going or ending up.
I’m leery of people who won’t step up and clearly take a position on an issue and hide in front of a Christmas tree. This isn’t a Campbell’s soup commercial. When people are this evasive on an issue that’s so important for many, you’re left with an obvious conclusion. If you can’t even speak up on poverty (here or abroad), having no answer is like saying I having none. It’s presumptuous, arrogant and rude in my opinion.
I’m a registered Republican, but I won’t be voting on “labels,” but rather on the records of these folks this go round. I expected more from him having been Mayor of NYC. Having no message was like saying the matter is unimportant mistake number #2 for me. Obviously his campaign advisors don’t know much about P. R. and the impressions people form from such a dismissive response on such an important issue.
If he doesn’t speak up soon and go on record with One I plan to use the baseball rules of the game: three strikes and your out. It works for me. Maybe he’s better suited to be just that— a Mayor only. At least that’s how I feel about him now. And I plan to e-mail this letter. They don’t have a fax. Oh joy! We can all e-mail him at the Web Team address: wedteam@rudy2008.com and call at 212-835-9449 or snail-mail him at:
Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee, Inc.
295 Greenwich St, #371
New York, NY 10007
That’s exactly what I’m doing as he dodges an issue that effects some of this “12 commitments,” he’s made.
Happy New Year every”ONE”,
Sincerely,

No Video submitted??? What is he too busy?? This should give everyone some idea what HE will be like as President!!! Avoids the issues, can’t make a stand, hangs on by one feat of being mayor!!! At a tragedic time in our history. No way do I want this one as our Pres. We have one just like him in the WH now!!!
As a right leaning voter, it really cheeses me off that so many Republicans have blown off the issues I care about. Hence, my support for Mike Huckabee, who gave a wonderfully genuine, heartfelt response.
Well this is real helpful. By not submitting a response is like saying he has no response or plans. He hasn’t gone on the record for more than 3 topics. I hope he sends in a video I would really like to hear it and I’m sure many others would also. He hasn’t really weighed in publically. This is important. It is important to hear each candidates remarks and what they plan on doing. These topics are almost never brought up on debates.
this concerns me, we are serious here, and two and a half million strong . . . i would have liked to hear this candidate’s responses to the issues important to us, especially concerning child and maternal health, universal and primary education, global hunger, and water and sanitation issues that i haven’t seen him weigh in on publically. i hope he will post a video prior to the primaries.
